The Position:

This first shift position is in our Greenville, WI maintenance and repair facility. We are seeking an individual who is eager to start as a Lube Technician / Entry-level Mechanic and work toward being an accomplished diesel mechanic. Under the direction of the Shop Foreman, this technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of trucks and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Role and Responsibilities:

This position is intended as a growth opportunity. With safe and successful completion of PMs and basic repairs, more challenging tasks will be incrementally given.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a drivers license and a satisfactory driving record, as well as a high school diploma or GED. He or she will ideally own some tools--up to 1/2" drive (specialty tools supplied by the shop).

Prior diagnostic experience as well as vocational training and certification from an accredited organization, or combination of schooling and relevant work experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and thoroughness are the skills that will make one successful in this role. Additionally, being adaptable to new equipment and most importantly, having a willingness to learn and be trained will be key. Motivation, punctuality, and being a dependable self-starter with good communication skills are also important qualities for success.

And of course the ideal candidate needs to be able to work as part of a team in a heavy shop environment.
