The Position:

We're looking for an Associate Controller to help us drive our accounting functions within the company and assist in the following responsibilities:

  • Month End Close: Timely preparation of monthly and yearly financials. Conduct monthly business reviews with area managers. Hold the team accountable to a 7-day close.
  • Billing Review: Review construction and/or manufacturing job billing packets. Ensure timely and accurate billings for both internal and external customers.
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage the collection of accounts receivable for both construction projects and material sales. Manage the reserve for doubtful accounts and provide advice on if, and when, it is appropriate to write off receivables.
  • Year End Close: Work with Company Controller to complete annual reconciliations and prepare information to support annual external financial statement audit.
  • Lead and Mentor Team Members: Manage team members who assist operations and ensure accurate roll up of information into our financial statements.
  • Initiate and Support Continuous Improvement: Work to improve our processes, add efficiencies, and provide better information to manage the business. Participate in cross-functional teams when needed to improve other department's processes. Support the IT team on updates and improvements to our ERP and other software used to manage the business.

The Location:

  • This opportunity will be based out of our Greenville, WI location.

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting.
  • Public accounting firm audit experience a plus.
  • Active CPA certification a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
