Asphalt Materials

Walbec Group’s hot mix asphalt consisting of a predetermined combination of aggregate and liquid asphalt cement is one of our main products. Our asphalt mix design process is formulated at AASHTO accredited laboratories in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois. Every mixture provides the necessary support to meet or exceed special customer requirements and specifications. Through sampling and quality control testing, these labs determine the proper type, size, shape, and combination of aggregates and liquid asphalt to mix.

Hot mix asphalt is generally produced in large quantities and then delivered to the hopper of an asphalt paving machine on the job. The asphalt is then leveled with a paver and compacted to a specified density with rollers. Walbec’s asphalt mixtures are uniquely designed and produced at our plants to ensure a high-quality end product for customers.
