Construction continues to move along nicely at the Red Wing Bridge Project and when you would typically see construction beginning to wind down, work at Red Wing continues strong and will continue into the winter season.
The photo above shows the progress made on the main river bridge from setting the 82” tall prestress girders a month ago to finishing forming the deck and tying rebar this week. The 175’ long girders are the largest and heaviest prestress concrete beams Zenith Tech has ever set.
We also have crews on the river preparing to build the cofferdam that will keep our foundation construction dry. We’re utilizing 86’ long sheet piles making this the deepest cofferdam we have built. The four 9’ diameter pipes sticking out of the water are the casings for the drilled shafts that support the foundation.
We’re proud to say that the bridge remains on schedule. Be sure to visit often for more updates.
