Northeast Asphalt Wins Top National Award for Quality Asphalt Paving!

Northeast Asphalt, Inc. has won the prestigious Sheldon G. Hayes award recognizing the highest quality highway pavement in the nation!

To be eligible for this aware, the pavement project must use more than 50,000 tons of asphalt and must also win a Quality in Construction (QIC) Award from the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) which evaluates how well the contractor met specifications and achieved density on the finished pavement. The year after the project wins a QIC award is when it's eligible for consideration for the Sheldon G. Hayes Award.

The top-ranked projects are evaluated for smoothness and then visually inspected by an independent pavement consultant.

We're proud to be the 2016 winner for our work on State Trunk Highway 26 in Rosendale, WI. This award is recognition for all of the Northeast Asphalt employees who contributed to this project, from the Support and Management staff to the outstanding Operators who performed the work. We are proud of these employees and the combined efforts that make NEA top in the nation!

NEA also won in 2014 for STH 22 from Gillett to Oconto Falls, WI.

Payne & Dolan was a finalist in 2014 for their work on I43 from STH 83 to STH 164 in Muskego and NEA was a finalist in 2011 for their work on USH 45 from Eagle River to Land O'Lakes.
