NEWSMAKERS OF 2022

Congratulations to our team members!

The Daily Reporter recently recognized three of our Walbec team members as 2022 Newsmakers of the Year. These awards recognize people and organizations that have positively led Wisconsin's construction and design industry throughout the year.

Bret Swenson was honored as a Project Manager of the Year for his efforts with P+D General Contracting. Bret's tireless commitment to his work inspires everyone around him to bring their best. The strength of his character shines through in every aspect of his work. He prioritizes cultivating relationships with his team, clients, and subcontractors and is always committed to direct and honest communication.

Joel Christopherson, ZTI's Chief Estimator, was recognized as an Estimator of the Year. As a tenured Walbec team member with 23 years of service, Joel has managed and estimated some of the most significant projects in the State of Wisconsin. His dedication to his craft and commitment to always looking for improvements has made him an indispensable part of the ZTI team.

Will Petska, NEA's Paving Superintendent, was honored as a Super Super. With over 30 years of dedication to #TeamWalbec, Will has mentored many of our paving experts and continues to share his extensive knowledge to help new team members build a rewarding career in construction. He consistently puts the needs of others first and provides patient leadership to NEA crews.
