The Position:

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Land Surveying Technician will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside established surveying team members that are passionate about the heavy civil industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Map out existing conditions of a property; staking out roadways, bridges, buildings, and utilities on a construction site
  • Collect data with unmanned aerial vehicles or drones
  • Process field data, drafting and quantity measurements
  • Opportunity to learn and grow with us as we provide guidance and compensation for completing the National Society of Professional Surveyors Certified Survey Technician program Level 1 (entry level) through Level 4 (Survey Field Manager or Office Manager)

The Candidate:

  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
  • 2+ years of survey experience required
  • Must be a reliable, efficient self-starter with initiative and a sense of responsibility
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D software experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively
  • Ability to work independently if needed
  • Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
