POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Technical Services Manager, we're looking for a Technical Services Administrator to support the Quality Control testing department by performing the following tasks:
- Facilitate distribution and collection of TLD badges for nuclear density technicians
- Generate testing location information and prepare job density binders
- Copy project plans and proposals for field use
- Prepare and closeout project testing records
- Input /submit data into DOT database as required by specification
- Create electronic surface profile descriptions and assist with profile analysis
- Coordinate and schedule certification and other training for field Technicians, prepare and help present internal training materials, compile and distribute updates/addendums to QC manuals
- Prepare QC Plans (HMA, Nuclear Density, Profile, etc) and distribute as needed
- Compile and create annual QC electronic and other files as directed/needed by Department and Regional Technical Services Manager
- Assist Project Managers and other Operations personnel with QC data questions
- Maintain and provide data for incentive/disincentive programs including updates and distributions
- Perform QC end of job close out procedures
- Review Field Technician emails and data and support technicians throughout the day
- Respond as needed to requests from Technical Services Manager (TSM)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Unwavering ethical standards
- Able to accurately understand and perform basic engineering calculations and test procedures
- Actively contribute and implement creative ideas and solutions toward company quality initiatives and programs
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record, as some local and regional travel may be required
- Strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills; able to work well in a team environment
- Sound computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, prioritize job duties and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Capability to work flexible hours as required by the season, especially likely overtime during peak operating season
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Associate degree or higher in a Civil Engineering or related study
- Minor or other study in Business and/or Computer Science
- Current Wisconsin HTCP certification(s) for any of: AGGTEC-I, HMA-IPT,HMA-TPC, HMA-MD, NUCDENSITY-I, PROFILER
- Strong familiarity with design and project plans, standardized test methods, specifications and operation/utilization of laboratory equipment
- Experience with WisDOT and/or PROVAL software
- Visual Basic programming experience and knowledge of computer architectures such as mainframe, midframe, Sybase, Firewall, NOS, etc.
- Knowledge of computer data management in areas such as data storage & security, data integrity & replication networks and data communications
- Proficient keyboarding skills to exceed 45 wpm
- Familiarity with related professional organizations such as WisDOT, WAPA, NAPA, AASHTO, AMRL and NCAT
