The Position:
We're looking for a Construction Superintendent responsible for:
- Operational Planning & Management
- Work as a partnership with the Project Manager (mutually accountable to each other).
- Lead the field team consisting of Tradespeople, Foreman and Subcontractors.
- Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.
- Review of plans and construction drawings.
- Order and schedule deliveries of material.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors that impact ZTI's work.
- Create and maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating appropriately with clients, sub-contractors, co-workers, and management.
- Mentor Foremen and Project Engineers for personal and company growth
- Accountable to Foreman/Lead Foreman in the areas of safety, information & planning, personnel, materials, tools & equipment and environment.

- Ultimately responsible for Labor & Equipment costs.
- Assist in Job Procurement/ Estimating/Pre-Job Planning

- Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.

The Location:
- Projects will vary by location throughout the local area, the state, or northern Illinois, so willingness to travel to any job site is required as needed.
The Candidate:
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
- Ten years of Foreman experience or / 5 years of Superintendent/Construction Manager experience.
- Technical/Secondary education in applicable field is preferable.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal (facilitation, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
- Good understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
