The Position:

We're looking for Unified Communications Specialist to install, support, and maintain in-house voice, mobile, and video equipment. This includes configuring, supporting, upgrading, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, smart phones and video conferencing environments.

Support:

  • Using the helpdesk ticket system prioritize, and respond to incoming support requests regarding equipment, service provider, or connectivity problems.
  • Support phone system hardware / software including voice mail, and video conferencing systems.
  • Support wireless mobility devices and services, including smartphones and tablets running Android or iOS.
  • Escalate issues to vendors as needed.
  • Meeting support - Provide assistance to end users on all Video conferences & AV requests and equipment.
  • Provide training and support to, end users and staff on equipment operation and other issues for phones and video conferencing rooms.

Service and Device Management:

  • Completes service cancellations and provides account and billing related support.
  • Administer all contracts for telecommunications equipment and services.
  • Perform monthly billing analysis for several data carriers, ensuring plan assignments minimize our monthly costs.
  • Accurately document inventory of software, hardware, for phones and video conferencing.
  • Where necessary, work with equipment vendors during installations, acquisition negotiations, and hardware performance issues.
  • Deploy wireless mobility devices and services, including smartphones and tablets running Android or iOS.
  • Enterprise-grade mobile device management administrator.
  • Define and maintain release management process for updating new mobile apps and device configurations via MDM.
  • Create and test new MDM profiles for support & implementation teams.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of emerging products, services, and standards in support of phone systems, mobility and collaborative conference room solutions.

The Candidate:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in the field of telecommunications or computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Certifications in computer and/or telecommunications technologies or ITIL are preferred
  • Experience with Intune MDM solutions is preferred
  • Knowledge of telecommunications hardware, software, and services and principles
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms video conferencing equipment a plus.
