The Position:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our talented team of IT professionals in Waukesha, WI. Under the direction of the IT Director, the IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the streamlined operation of the IT Service Desk and Infrastructure teams in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. If you possess strong leadership and communication skills, have a keen attention to detail and are highly self-motivated, look no further, we have the opportunity for you!

Management & Leadership

  • Manage team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development & training, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage financial aspects of the teams, including purchasing, invoice approvals and budget reporting.
  • Provide technical leadership and lead teams in planning and execution, including fostering innovation and projects as well as organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices including the cyber-security plan for the organization.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor, consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, security and support of IT systems, including Voice, LANs, WANs, cloud-based technologies, servers and end-user devices.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.

Service Management

  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including service desk and technical support services.
  • Manage the processing of incoming calls to the Service Desk via both telephone, e-mail and portal to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.
  • Develop and enforce request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
  • Track and analyze trends in Help Desk requests and generate statistical reports.
  • Identify, recommend, develop and implement end user training programs to increase computer literacy and self-sufficiency.
  • Oversee development and communication of help sheets, usage guides and FAQs for end users.
  • Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.

The Candidate:

  • Four-year university degree or college diploma in the Technology or business management related field
  • 5 years of progressive growth & experience in Information Technology with managerial responsibilities.
  • Certifications in Service Management and Microsoft products desired.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT hybrid on premise and cloud architectures, as well as Microsoft Office 365 products, mobile device technologies and MDM platforms.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
